Washer Repair
Front-load and top-load washers: drainage faults, violent spin vibration, leaks, and door-lock or control errors.
Most washer calls come down to three systems – drain, suspension and door lock. Diagnosing which one before ordering parts is the difference between a one-visit repair and three weeks of waiting.
When you call us about a washer, the first thing that happens is a real diagnosis. A technician measures, tests and reads the appliance’s own fault history before naming a part – because the difference between a $90 component and a $600 one is often a single reading, and guessing costs you both.
What the visit actually involves
You get a two-hour arrival window, not an open-ended day. The technician confirms the fault, quotes a flat price covering parts and labour, and only then opens anything up. If you decide not to go ahead, you pay the $89 diagnostic and nothing else – and that $89 is credited back the moment you approve the repair.
Roughly three quarters of washer repairs finish on the first visit, because the components that fail most often on this appliance already travel on the van. Anything that has to be ordered normally lands within a few business days, and we book the return slot before we leave.
Brands we repair for this appliance
Every manufacturer we service that builds this appliance type is listed further down this page – Miele, Asko, Bosch, Electrolux, LG, Samsung among them. Brand matters more than most people expect: a Miele and a Maytag can present the identical symptom for entirely different reasons, and the diagnostic route is different for each.
Repair or replace?
We will give you a straight answer. The rule we use ourselves: if the repair costs more than half of a comparable new appliance and the unit is past two thirds of its expected service life, replacement is usually the better spend. Below that line – and on almost any built-in or luxury unit – repair wins comfortably. We would rather lose one job than sell you a part you should not buy.

What is your washer doing?
Most washer calls come down to three systems - drain, suspension and door lock. Diagnosing which one before ordering parts is the difference between a one-visit repair and three weeks of waiting.
Will not drain or spin
A sock in the drain pump filter, a failed pump, or a lid/door lock that never confirms closed. We check the cheapest cause first.
Walks across the floor on spin
Worn suspension rods or shock absorbers letting the tub swing. Left alone it eventually damages the bearing housing - a far larger repair.
Loud metallic grinding on spin
Tub bearing. We will tell you plainly whether the bearing job is economical for your model.
Leaking from the front
A torn door bellows, usually from wire or coins that worked into the fold. Replacement includes the retaining spring rings.
Door stays locked after the cycle
The door-lock assembly or a control board that never releases it. There is a manual release we will show you for emergencies.
Cycle stalls part way through
Water inlet valve, pressure switch or a clogged air dome tube telling the control the tub is already full.
Most popular brands that build washer appliances

We diagnose it properly
A technician arrives inside a two-hour window, tests the appliance rather than guessing, and explains what failed and why in plain language.

washer repair questions
Is a tub bearing repair worth it?
On a premium front-loader - Miele, Asko, Electrolux - usually yes; those cabinets outlive several ordinary machines. On a mid-range unit past eight years, the bearing job often approaches half the price of a new washer, and we will say so.
Why does my washer smell musty?
Residue in the bellows fold and the detergent drawer. We clean both, check that the drain hose has a proper high loop, and show you the maintenance wash cycle for your model.
Do you repair stacked washer/dryer units?
Yes. We unstack, service and restack laundry centers, including compact 24" European units in closets where access is tight.
