Range & Oven Repair
Gas and electric ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and dual-fuel pro ranges - including ignition, calibration and control board faults.
Cooking appliances mix gas, high-voltage elements and electronics in one cabinet, so a careless repair is a real hazard. Every gas job we take ends with a leak check at the manifold and a burner-by-burner flame verification.
When you call us about a range / oven, the first thing that happens is a real diagnosis. A technician measures, tests and reads the appliance’s own fault history before naming a part – because the difference between a $90 component and a $600 one is often a single reading, and guessing costs you both.
What the visit actually involves
You get a two-hour arrival window, not an open-ended day. The technician confirms the fault, quotes a flat price covering parts and labour, and only then opens anything up.
Roughly three quarters of range / oven repairs finish on the first visit, because the components that fail most often on this appliance already travel on the van. Anything that has to be ordered normally lands within a few business days, and we book the return slot before we leave.
Brands we repair for this appliance
Every manufacturer we service that builds this appliance type is listed further down this page – Wolf, Thermador, Viking, La Cornue, Bertazzoni, Dacor among them. Brand matters more than most people expect: a Wolf and a Monogram can present the identical error for entirely different reasons, and the diagnostic route is different for each.
Repair or replace?
We will give you a straight answer. The rule we use ourselves: if the repair costs more than half of a comparable new appliance and the unit is past two thirds of its expected service life, replacement is usually the better spend. Below that line – and on almost any built-in or luxury unit – repair wins comfortably. We would rather lose one job than sell you a part you should not buy.

What is your range / oven doing?
Cooking appliances mix gas, high-voltage elements and electronics in one cabinet, so a careless repair is a real hazard. Every gas job we take ends with a leak check at the manifold and a burner-by-burner flame verification.
Burner clicks but will not light
A cracked spark electrode, a soaked igniter module, or a burner cap sitting out of position. We test spark energy rather than swapping the whole igniter harness.
Oven will not heat
On gas: a weak glow-bar igniter that no longer draws enough current to open the safety valve. On electric: an open bake element or a failed relay on the control board.
Oven temperature is off by 25-75°
A drifting temperature sensor or a control that needs recalibration. We verify with an independent probe at three set points before adjusting.
Self-clean left the oven dead
The classic thermal-fuse or door-lock motor failure after a clean cycle. Both are inexpensive parts hidden behind the top panel.
Induction zone drops out under load
An overheated power module or a blocked cooling fan intake. Running it in that state is what turns a fan cleaning into a board replacement.
Door will not close flush
Fatigued hinges or a compressed door gasket letting heat escape - the reason many "uneven baking" calls are not electrical at all.
Most popular brands that build range / oven appliances
These are the manufacturers from our roster that produce this appliance type. Each brand page lists the full range that manufacturer builds and the faults we see most often.
From your call to a working appliance
Every visit runs the same way, whichever appliance it is and whichever city you are in.
- Two-hour arrival window, confirmed by phone or text
- Flat price approved by you before anything is opened
Tell us what it is doing
Call or book online. Give us the brand, the model number if you have it, and what the appliance is actually doing. The more detail, the more likely the part is already on the van.
We diagnose it properly
A technician arrives inside a two-hour window, tests the appliance rather than guessing, and explains what failed and why in plain language.
You approve a fixed price
You get a flat quote before anything is opened up. Approve it and most repairs are completed the same visit, with the warranty printed on your invoice.

range / oven repair questions
Do you work on gas ranges and propane conversions?
Yes. We repair natural gas and LP appliances and always finish with a manifold leak check. If your unit was converted with the wrong orifice set, we will identify it - that is a common cause of yellow flames and soot on cookware.
My oven bakes unevenly. Is that the element?
Usually not. Uneven baking is more often a drifting sensor, a tired door gasket, or a convection fan that has slowed. We measure actual cavity temperature before ordering any part.
Can you repair a professional dual-fuel range?
Yes - Wolf, Viking, Thermador, La Cornue, Bertazzoni, DCS and Dacor pro ranges are regular work for us, including infrared broiler modules and French-top assemblies.
